Both have a small supermarket, a few bars, a couple of small restaurants/crêperies and one or two shops (boulangerie, butchers etc). Peillac has a chemist and a doctors surgery.

There is plenty to do in the locality, walking, mountain-biking, rock-climbing, canoeing, fishing in many local lakes and rivers ( the Oust, the Nantes-Brest canal and the Arz are all within walking distance).
